City Dot

Five mystery US cities a day, from big to small. The red dot marks each one. You get 4 guesses per city, and every miss shows how far off you were and unlocks a hint. Solve it faster for more points, up to 20.

Points per city: 4 for a first-try answer, then 3, 2, 1, or 0 if you miss. Alaska and Hawaii are shown in insets, not to scale. City locations and populations: GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Distances are straight-line miles.
