Welcome to What The Geo. By using whatthegeo.com and its games, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. What The Geo is run by Louis Barbat, and you can reach us at whatthegeovideos@gmail.com.

Using the games

The daily games are free to play for personal, non-commercial use. You're welcome to share your results and links to the site. Please don't copy the site, republish the puzzles as your own, or use them in a commercial product without asking first.

Things you agree not to do

• Try to hack, overload or disrupt the site or the servers it runs on.
• Use bots or automated tools to scrape the site or play the games in bulk.
• Click on ads in bad faith, or encourage others to, or do anything else that interferes with the site's advertising.
• Use the site for anything illegal.

Content and ownership

The site's design, text, game ideas, puzzles, clues and the What The Geo name belong to What The Geo. Some of the data behind the games comes from open sources, credited on the About page and used under their licenses, including flag-icons (MIT), mledoze/countries (ODbL), GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), Natural Earth and the US Census Bureau.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep the facts right, but geography data changes and figures such as populations and areas are rounded estimates. The games are for fun and learning and shouldn't be relied on as an authoritative source. If you spot a mistake, please email us and we'll fix it.

Ads and links

The site shows ads from Google AdSense and links to other websites, such as our YouTube channel. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of other websites or advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for how ads use cookies.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be online, error-free, or that your saved progress and streaks will never be lost (for example, if you clear your browser data).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, What The Geo and Louis Barbat are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms or change, pause or retire any game at any time. If we change the terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
